Sketch your desired outfit, using a pencil.

Trace the figurine’s contours with a fineliner – using the hue you want to colour in the part with later on.

Hatch all areas that are meant to have a certain hue with corresponding coloured pencils.

Add some shadows by putting a bit more pressure on the pencil.

Use some opaque white to add a frayed hem to the jeans.

Making a stamp: Draw a template, e.g. a cactus, on a piece of paper. :-) Cut the template out.

Put the stencil onto the potato half and carefully cut along its outline with a knife. Caution! Be extremely careful whenever you use sharp objects, hot water and electricity – don’t hur t yourself! Ask a grownup to help you cut the stamp stencil to the right shape!

Cut off the potato bits outside the outline so that the cactus’s surface protrudes.

Paint the cactus with some ink ...

... and stamp the motif onto your design.

Once the paint has dried, you can embellish the cactus stamp with a cute face.

Use a fineliner to draw a motif onto the small eraser that is attached to a pencil.

Now you can use the eraser to stamp a pattern onto the design.

Eraser stamps are particularly suitable for prints that are rich in detail...
